Types of Obstacles[]

Monsters[]

  • Running face-first into a monster ends the player's run.
  • Can defeat a monster by landing them from above or headbutting them from underneath.
  • Monsters occasionally yield winged stars.  The chance of obtaining a winged star increases with riding pet level.

Fireball[]

  • Touching a fireball will end a player's run.
  • Fireballs do not yield winged stars unless you are using an A-rank+ Stella.
  • If you are using an A-rank+ Stella, Winged Star chance appears to be the same as monsters.

Poison Clouds[]

  • Touching a poison cloud will end the player's run.
  • The poison cloud hit box is smaller than shown on screen.  You can brush against the front.1/4th and back 1/4th of the cloud without suffering ill effect.  Same with the top 1/4th and the bottom 1/4th.
  • Poison clouds do not yield winged stars.

Spikes[]

  • Running into or landing upon Icicle Spikes will end a player's run.
  • Spikes gives no score but may yield winged stars when destroyed.

Whirlwind[]

  • Grabs the player and throws them into the air after some time.
  • If the whirlwind takes too long to throw the player, can result in the ending of a run as the edge of the screen catches up to the player.
  • Whirlwinds do not yield winged stars.

Springs[]

  • Bounces the player high into the air.
  • A spring bounce can be cancelled early by using a double jump.

Pitfall[]

  • Falling off an edge will end the player's run.
  • Barrier protection does not extend to pitfall.  Falling into a hole with barrier equipped will end your run.

Edge of Screen (Crushed)[]

  • Run ends when the edge of the screen catches up with the player.  This generally happens when the player is held in place by uneven terrain. Similar to a pitfall, barrier doesn't protect a character from getting crushed by the edge of a screen.

Rolling Boulders[]

  • Rolls towards the player.
  • You can step on a rolling boulder. The same as stepping on a regular ground
